Los Angeles acquired him from the Washington Wizards in January, giving up Kendrick Nunn and three second-round draft picks in the process.

Hachimura's arrival proved beneficial as he contributed in 33 regular season games by averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.

His presence played a part in the team's push toward the playoffs after initially ranking 12th in the Western Conference at the time of the trade.

During the playoffs, Hachimura showcased an elevated level of performance, boasting an average of 12.2 points while shooting an impressive 48.7% from beyond the arc.
