Derrick Rose signs a two-year, $6.5 million deal with Memphis Grizzlies.
Veteran guard Derrick Rose has agreed on a fully guaranteed two-year, $6.5 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Rose's presence on the court has been limited in recent years, with only 27 games played for the New York Knicks last season and even fewer the year before. This raises concerns about his remaining ability as he enters his 16th year in the league.
Nevertheless, Rose is expected to bring valuable leadership to a young team, contributing in the locker room.
The Grizzlies should have important minutes available for Rose, especially during the initial months of the upcoming season. Ja Morant's suspension for 25 games due to his second gun incident has created a void.
