According to the report, Vogel interviewed for a head coach position and is among the leading candidates for the job, alongside former Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse and former Milwaukee Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer.

Vogel has a 431-389 record over a combined nine seasons with the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic, and Lakers.

Vogel coached the Los Angeles Lakers to the 2020 NBA title and led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference finals in 2013 and 2014.

The Lakers let Vogel go on April 11, 2022, after he compiled a 127-98 record in three seasons.

The 76ers head coaching position became available when Doc Rivers was fired two days after suffering a 112-88 Game 7 loss to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Philadelphia exited in the second round of the playoffs in each of Rivers’ three seasons in charge.
