Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has been fined $25,000 for violating league rules governing media interview access, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.
The fine results from Butler’s failure to participate in a required media availability following Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 21.
Currently, the Heat lead the Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics 3-0.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET in Miami.
Butler averages 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in the series against the Celtics.
