Los Angeles Lakers upgraded LeBron James to doubtful vs. the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
The 38-year-old James has been out since suffering a right foot tendon injury on February 26 against the Dallas Mavericks.
NBA insiders -- Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski -- earlier reported that LeBron has begun on-court activity and is hopeful for a return within the final 3-to-4 games of the regular season.
However, LeBron publicly denied those reports on his Twitter account.
This season, the Lakers superstar has been averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.
Los Angeles is 7th in the Western Conference with a 37-37 record.
Lakers' last eight games include two consecutive match-ups against the Bulls, then Timberwolves, Rockets, Jazz, Clippers, Suns, and Jazz again.
