"I am going to new horizons by signing with Monaco. I set myself other goals and will try to bring everything I can to the court. I want to continue to gain experience," Strazel told the official website of AS Monaco.

The 19-year-old French point guard penned his first professional contract with ASVEL Villeurbanne at the age of 16 in 2019. Tony Parker's club has been the only team in his career. The player and the club had a deal until 2025.

Strazel declared his name for the 2022 NBA Draft but later withdrew from the ceremony this summer.

He averaged 3.4 points, 0.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.3 PIR over 30 EuroLeague games this past campaign.

Strazel is the second top French prospect, who is leaving ASVEL this off-season after Victor Wembanyama shifted to Metropolitans 92 Paris.

The 1.82-meter Strazel is a French Cup winner in 2021 and helped ASVEL win LNB Pro A titles twice (2021, 2022).

He will join Elie Okobo in Monaco's backcourt line, who made the same transfer between the two EuroLeague squads earlier.
