Following the official extension of Mike James and the addition of Elie Okobo, AS Monaco continue bolstering their roster.
The Roca Team announced the signing of Jordan Loyd for the next two seasons.
"There are several reasons [why I chose Monaco]. Obviously, the ambitions of the club come first. The managers told me about the objectives for the upcoming season and that convinced me right away.
I kept an eye on the team last year. Their fighting spirit in the EuroLeague, the seriousness of the staff and the management made me want to join Monaco. The club has big dreams and I know we can achieve them. I can't wait to start the season," Loyd told the official website.
After coming back from the NBA, Loyd spent his first two seasons in Europe with Valencia Basket and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. He then landed in Zenit St Petersburg for the 2021-22 EuroLeague season.
The 28-year-old American guard averaged 13.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 14.5 PIR over 23 EuroLeague matches this past campaign.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, all three Russian clubs were suspended from participating in the EuroLeague. Loyd then remained with the club and has been playing in the local competition.
