"We have achieved success with a team built as a family but this can't last forever. The team may undergo some changes. We will evaluate potential changes when the season is finished but we don't have any real plans right now," Ergin Ataman spoke to Turkish TV channel NTV.

It's clear that Krunoslav Simon has played his last game for Efes. Moreover, the Final Four MVP Vasilije Micic is willing to risk for the NBA dream. The Oklahoma City Thunder, who finished the 14th in the Western Conference, holds his draft rights.

As previously reported, Anadolu Efes are showing strong interest in signing Zalgiris Kaunas frontcourt player Josh Nebo and have a contract agreement with Will Clyburn of CSKA Moscow.

Ataman himself confirmed that the Turkish powerhouse is close to bolstering the roster with Will Clyburn.

"We are talking with very good players. We are talking with Will Clyburn and maybe we are close to signing him. Although, the deal is not finalized yet.

We can add one or two more players but older athletes not necessarily leaving the squad," stressed the 56-year-old specialist.

Ataman also talked about Serbian prospect Filip Petrusev, who failed to succeed in Anadolu Efes.

"His contribution did not meet our expectations this campaign and we may replace him with another player."

Efes wrapped up the 2021-22 EuroLeague season, becoming the third team in the strongest continental league's history to defend the title after Olympiacos and Maccabi.

However, the job is not finished on the local front. Today (18:00 CEST), Efes will welcome Pinar Karsiyaka in a decisive Game 3 of the Turkish League quarterfinals. The winner of the pair will face Galatasaray in the next playoffs stage.
