Euroleague club AS Monaco officially announced the signing of American forward Alpha Diallo for the upcoming season. Diallo spent the past season with the Greek team Lavrio, where he helped the team to reach the Finals for the first time in the club's history.

Team: Monaco Basket
Position: SF, PF
Age: 24
Height: 201 cm
Weight: 95 kg
Birth place: New York, United States of America

Diallo originally signed a multi-year deal with Panathinaikos in July but then the club decided to let him go because he wasn't a part of new head coach Dimitris Priftis' plans.

Diallo averaged 12.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal per game last season with Lavrio. He quickly became one of the surprises of the league. Born in New York, Diallo is a Providence alum but went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft.

"For me playing in EuroLeague it's a big step forward in my career," Diallo said to AS Monaco's official website. "I have a lot to learn from coach Mitrovic and from the other players that have already experienced in the competition. I'll bring my energy and enthusiasm to help the team to achieve its goals. Monaco is growing fast and has really high ambitions. I can't wait to play in front of the fans."
