Former NBA player Donatas Motiejunas is set for the EuroLeague return. The 30-year-old big man is heading to AS Monaco for a one-year deal, per BasketNews sources.

The Lithuanian big man was officially announced by the team on Wednesday. His contract includes an option to leave for China, however, he may only sign a contract there within the next two weeks, Tomas Langvinis of LNK reports.

Motiejunas returns to the Euroleague after almost ten years. In 2012, Lithuanian was the second-best rebounder in the tournament, averaging 12.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for Asseco Prokom Gdynia.

Later Motiejunas spent six seasons in the NBA, representing the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. 2.13 m center had the most successful NBA campaign in 2014-15, averaging 12 points and 5,9 rebounds per game for the Rockets.

Motiejunas spent the last four years in China. The previous season he averaged 21.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game for Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
