Three female referees in charge of a game for the first time in Europe

At first, the game between Veolia Towers Hamburg and BG Gottingen in the German BBL was supposed to be just a regular match on Sunday afternoon. It ended up being a historic occasion. For the first time in European top league history, three female referees were in charge of a professional men's basketball game. Anne Panther, Danjana Rey, and Alexandra Pawlik were the three officials of the match.
Anthony Polite leaves ASVEL, joins Hamburg

By mutual agreement, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Anthony Polite have put an end to the contract which bound them.  The Swiss international forward, looking for more playing time and more responsibility, returned to the German league with the Veolia Towers Hamburg until the end of the 2022-23 season.
