Another top European prospect has declared for the NBA Draft. After it was announced yesterday that Nikola Jovic, Malcolm Cazalon, and Karlo Matkovic made themselves eligible to be drafted, sources tell Basketnews.com that top German prospect Justus Hollatz has also declared himself for the NBA Draft.
Hollatz currently plays for Hamburg Towers in the 7DAYS EuroCup where he averages 8.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists for 7.9 PIR for the team. Towers will meet Valencia Basket in the Round of 16 of the EuroCup next week in hopes of advancing further in the playoffs.
The soon-to-be-21-year-old also played for the German national team during the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers this season, averaging 10.3 points and 4.8 assists. His most successful performance so far was against Israel where he scored 18 points and dished out 8 assists.
The NBA Draft will take place on June 23rd. Hollatz has not been included in the most recent ESPN Top 100 Draft prospects list.
