USA basketball men's national team coaching staff announced

Several months after surrendering first place in the FIBA Global Ranking, a new coaching staff has been announced for the US men's national team. Steve Kerr from the Golden State Warriors will serve as the head coach in the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Indonesia, Japan, and The Philippines. Alongside Kerr, Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra and Gonzaga's Mark Few will join him as assistant coaches.

At the invitation of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who is from the Bay Area and was a U.S. senator from California, the Warriors were at the White House for the first time since 2016.
