According to NBA insider Marc Stein, there has been ongoing speculation linking Pelicans head coach Willie Green to the Phoenix Suns. Green is reportedly on the Suns' radar and could emerge as a leading candidate for their head coaching vacancy.

Green is said to have a strong relationship with Suns owner Mat Ishbia and star guard Devin Booker, which only fuels the rumors of a potential reunion.

Appointed as the Pelicans’ head coach ahead of the 2021–22 season, Green has led the team to two playoff appearances during his four-year tenure—both ending in first-round exits.
