The Denver Nuggets have fired general manager Calvin Booth and head coach Michael Malone following a four-game losing streak.
The Denver Nuggets are parting ways with general manager Calvin Booth, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN. Coach Michael Malone is also being let go today.
This decision comes as the Nuggets have three regular-season games remaining against Sacramento, Memphis, and Houston.
Booth, 48, has been with the Nuggets since 2020. He began his front office career with the New Orleans Pelicans as a scout during the 2012–13 season. After one year there, he moved to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he worked his way up to director of player personnel.
In August 2017, Booth was named assistant general manager of the Nuggets and was promoted to the GM role in July 2020.
Booth, a former NBA player with a 10-season career, won his first championship in 2023 when the Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat in five games.
The Nuggets are currently struggling, having lost four consecutive games, and hold the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference with a 47–32 record.
