Partizan's president Ostoja Mijailovic spoke in the interview for Prva TV that ABA League could have a format change soon:

"We could change the national limit to eight teams from one country, format would consist of 20 teams at most and they would be split in two different divisions," Mijailovic started.

"It would mean two games less throughout the season, and we know that Euroleague is expanding to 20 teams so we would have two more there. This way we would have the same amount of games throughout all competitions during a season."

Mijailovic also explained the division system:

"Zvezda and Partizan would be divided in two different divisions, rest of the teams would be picked through a draw," Mijailovic concluded.
