Itoudis believes it's time for the EuroLeague to expand by adding more teams, which would help accelerate the league's growth.

"I believe the time has come for the EuroLeague to expand to include more teams, for the competition to grow, and for the way the games are played to evolve. We need to incorporate more games with a different style," Itoudis stated.

He also highlighted how the previous proposal by the EuroLeague Coaches Association, which introduced the play-in format, had a positive impact on the league’s evolution, and he believes expansion could have a similar effect.

"The EuroLeague is the most impressive and competitive league, and the change we proposed through the EuroLeague Coaches Association, with the play-in format, has brought a completely new identity and prestige to the regular season," he added.

Itoudis also confirmed on NOVA TV's EuroLeague pre-game show that Hapoel Tel Aviv has applied for a three-year license to the competition, emphasizing the club's serious intentions for the future.
