Harden scored 25 points in a 121-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, surpassing Washington Bullets legend Elvin Hayes, who finished his career with 27,133 points. Harden now sits in 12th place on the all-time scoring list with 27,136 career points.
The 2018 NBA MVP is likely to climb to the 11th spot in the coming weeks, as he’s just 87 points behind Moses Malone, who scored 27,409 points during his career.
This season, the 35-year-old Harden is averaging 22.4 points, 8.7 assists, and 5.8 rebounds, helping the Clippers to a 37-30 record and the eighth spot in the Western Conference.
