Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has made NBA history once again, becoming the first player ever to reach 4,000 career three-pointers in a dominant 130-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Heading into the game, Curry needed just two more threes to hit the unprecedented milestone. He achieved it with 8:19 left in the third quarter, sinking a contested shot from the right wing off a pass from Moses Moody—his fourth attempt of the night. Curry finished the game with 11 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds.

The next closest player on the all-time three-pointers made list is fellow 2009 NBA Draft classmate, James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers, who has 3,127 threes. NBA legend Ray Allen remains in third place with 2,973 career makes.

Curry, who turns 37 on March 14, received a lighthearted response from Warriors head coach Steve Kerr when asked how the team might celebrate both his milestone and birthday.

"What do you get for the guy who has everything? Maybe I’ll give him a day off," Kerr joked.

Reflecting on Curry’s achievement, Kerr added:

"I’m desensitized to the threes at this point because they just keep coming, game after game. But 4,000? That’s just an insane number."

Despite his age, the two-time MVP remains at the top of his game, averaging 24.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.4 rebounds this season. His leadership has been crucial in helping the Warriors climb the standings—they currently sit sixth in the Western Conference with a 38-28 record.
