The Dallas Mavericks' ship is slowly sinking as they suffer yet another loss—this time to their direct rivals for the final play-in spot, the Phoenix Suns, falling 116-125.

The Mavs had only nine players available for this game, and even some of them were on restricted minutes as they continue to recover from injuries. With key players not at full strength, Dallas struggled to keep up.

In the post-game press conference, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd expressed his disbelief over the team's ongoing injury crisis, saying he's never seen anything like it.

"I’ve never seen this—where you can’t even take someone out to rest them because there’s no one to put in," Kidd said.

"Normally, you can just sub in someone from the end of the bench. But if they weren’t in clothes, they were in the back with stitches or unable to move or walk. It is what it is," he added.

Despite the loss, the Mavericks remain in tenth place in the Western Conference with a 32-33 record, clinging to the final play-in spot. However, with Phoenix now right behind them at 30-34, Dallas’ playoff hopes are looking increasingly uncertain.
