The Nuggets are listing Nikola Jokic as questionable against the Kings due to left ankle inflammation.
Nikola Jokic could miss the Denver Nuggets' next game against the Sacramento Kings due to a left ankle injury.
The Serbian center suffered the injury early in the game against Boston, which his team lost 110-103, and the pain in his wrist doesn't seem to have subsided even a few days later.
Denver fans were concerned when they saw Jokiv stumble and limp on the first drive of the game. However, the NBA MVP quickly got back into the swing of things and played a great first quarter, but was asked about the exact moment he got hurt after the game.
“Yeah, I've been limping for 14 years,” Jokic replied in his signature style, not giving too much importance to the situation. However, it seems that the injury is not as harmless as initially thought, as his performance against the Kings is now in question.
Jokic's absence could pose a serious problem for the Nuggets, who are currently battling for a better playoff spot. The Colorado team currently sits in third place in the West with a 39-20 record, while the Los Angeles Lakers have one more win and one less loss, which puts them in second place.
