Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome criticized the refereeing following their 133-129 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, describing the officiating as poor. He specifically called out referee Natalie Sago, stating that her performance was particularly bad.
The Cleveland Cavaliers secured a hard-fought 133-129 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in their latest matchup.
Ty Jerome, who contributed 25 points off the bench and played a crucial role in the Cavs’ win, voiced his frustration with the refereeing after the game. Jerome felt the officiating disrupted the team’s rhythm, particularly calling out referee Natalie Sago for her performance.
"I thought the refs were really bad tonight. Especially Natalie, she was really bad," Jerome said, talking to the media after the game.
"Stuff like that happens. They kind of lose control of the game, and you just got to keep your head. I thought that first half was ridiculous. Third quarter was horrendous. You just got to keep your head and keep playing," he added.
With this victory, the Cavs maintain their dominant position at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 50-10 record, holding a seven-game lead over the second-place Boston Celtics.
