The Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised Luka Doncic after a back-to-back win against the Los Angeles Clippers 108-102.
Luka Doncic had another excellent performance against the Clippers, scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists, helping the Lakers to win their sixth game in a row.
After the game in the press conference, JJ Redick said teams simply can't play drop coverage against Luka, warning teams they will suffer hard if they defend him this way.
"The nature of playing with Luka Doncic is if you play drop coverage against him, you're going to die," Redick said.
However, the Clippers threw a blitz at Doncic in the second half, forcing him to play double-teams, which let the Clippers to come back into the game. Redick said they have to find a way to be better against that defense.
"We have to be better and we're going to figure that out. It helps when you can play all shooting lineups, I am not concerned about that," Lakers coach noted.
Luka has found his rhythm recently, averaging 27.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over his last three games.
The Lakers are also playing great recently, winning six straight games, and climbing to the second place in the Western Conference standings.
