Bogdan Bogdanovic helped his new team, the Los Angeles Clippers overcome the Chicago Bulls 122-117 by scoring 14 points and a crucial 3-point shot that sealed the outcome.

The Serbian guard, along with three second-round picks, was traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Clippers in exchange for Terance Mann and Bones Hyland.

Bogdanovic, 32, had been with the Hawks since 2020. The Clippers are his third team in the NBA.

"Seven days before the trade, I I didn't know where I would end up," he told RTS.

"I even thought I would be in Toronto or New Orleans. There were a dozen teams in circulation, it's an awkward period when you don't know where you're going. But I'm glad I ended up in the Clippers, I'm happy," he added.

"It's a new team, a new system, I'm not the only new one, there are several new players, we also have injured players and we're all looking for a rhythm. I like how everything looks, we won tonight, the next derby is in two days against the Lakers".

Bogdanovic did not miss the opportunity to congratulate the Serbian national team on their qualification for the EuroBasket final stage and the perfect score (6-0) in the qualifiers.

"Along with Latvia and France, we went through the qualification cycle without defeat, which is quite difficult. I congratulated both the coach and the staff because they faced the biggest challenge to put the team together. Thank you guys for securing us another tournament," he said with gratitude.
