Give Me Control looks at some interesting officiating moments in this past week's EuroLeague Rounds 25 and 26, trying to answer whether Trinchieri's complaints make sense and did the refs cost Fenerbahce a win against PAO.

EuroLeague referees, not once but twice this past week, used the Instant Replay System (IRS) to correct almost identical mistakes that should never have been made in the first place.

Points 26
Accuracy 6-11
Rebounds 5

In both situations, the officials made additional rule errors that had to be corrected later in the game.

The other Rounds 25 and 26 games were not free of other obvious errors as well.

Did referee mistakes cost Fenerbahce a win at Panathinaikos? And, as he has done repeatedly during the season after tough losses, was Zalgiris coach Andrea Trinchieri justified in complaining about the officiating in his team's 87-89 loss vs EA7 Emporio Armani Milan?

Comments:
Hi Todd, Donatas was suggestimg something different about the Guduric-Sloukas play. Considering the height of the position Guduric dribbled the ball as well as the speed of the ball, one (incl yourself when the guys shot their video) could say this could be intentional. Hence, it is not an illegal play. I wonder what made you change your view

Before the Tarik 3pter at 1:20 Devon Hall is commiting a travelling violation.

With regards to the 3pt fouls you mention maybe there were, just not sure that the camera angle is such to validate this.

Additionally, the game had bad ref decisions during its whole duration, focusing on the last 2 minutes is as if we shoukd assume it was great before.

Thanks

Hi, Todd, thank you for analysis, it is always a joy to read. Do not know if you read comments but here in Lithuania Smailagic offensive foul brought a lot of discussion. You say that it is a foul but do not comment on Leday push on Smailagic.

Could you please expand on that? Is it Leday foul on Smailagic for push or not?

thank you for your work!
