Zeller, 32, joined the Hawks in July 2024 as part of a sign-and-trade deal involving multiple players and draft picks.

Prior to this season, Zeller had stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat, and New Orleans Pelicans.

Throughout his career, Zeller has averaged 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

This season, he has not appeared on the court.

The Houston Rockets' 2028 second-round pick is a future draft asset that the Hawks acquired in a previous trade.

The Hawks have been busy ahead of the trade deadline. They have traded De'Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, three second-round picks, and two pick swaps.

Also, Atalanta sent Bogdan Bogdanovic and three second-round picks to the LA Clippers for Terance Mann and Bones Hyland.
