The Cavs were pushing hard to get Hunter during the last day when trades are available.

He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Hunter was then traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the deal for Anthony Davis. Later, he was sent to the Hawks, along with Solomon Hill, in exchange for picks Nos. 8, 17, and 35 in the same draft.

Since joining the Hawks, Hunter has played in 300 career games. Cleveland is his second NBA team.

LeVert, meanwhile, has been with the Cavs since 2022. This season, he is averaging 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

Niang, 31, joined the Cavaliers in 2023. He has averaged 8.7 points (40.0% 3PT), 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game this season. Niang is recognized for his three-point shooting and has provided valuable floor spacing for Cleveland.
