The Phoenix Suns have traded center Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for forward Cody Martin, guard Vasilije Micic, and a 2026 second-round pick, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Nurkic, 30, has been with the Suns since September 2023, following a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.

This season, the Bosnian big has averaged 8.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. However, he has not played since January 7, 2025, due to a lack of communication with head coach Mike Budenholzer.

Martin, 29, has been with the Hornets since being drafted in 2019. This season, he has averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. His defensive skills and versatility have been valuable assets for Charlotte.

Micic, 30, joined the Hornets after a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. The Serbian playmaker has posted 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists over 36 games this season.

Trade Summary:

  • Suns receive: Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic, 2026 second-round pick
  • Hornets receive: Jusuf Nurkic, 2026 first-round pick
