The Philadelphia 76ers made an interesting move by sending KJ Martin to the Detroit Pistons, the deal that could potentially be beneficial in creating other trade packages approaching the deadline.
According to Marc Stein, the 76ers are sending KJ Martin, a 2027 second-rounder via Milwaukee and a 2031 second-rounder from Dallas to Detroit.
With this trade, Philadelphia will absorb Martin's contract into their room exception worth nearly $8 million. They did not get anything else in return.
KJ Martin has averaged 6.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 24 games this season for the 76ers.
