Justin Holiday has joined Virtus Bologna for 3 months, with an option for a 2-month extension.
Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna announced the signing of former NBA champion Justin Holiday on a 3-month deal with an option for a 2-month extension, until the end od the 2024-25 campaign.
The player will leave for the United States on Sunday (Feb. 2) to collect his work visa and will return to Bologna early next week.
Holiday, 35, has a total of 703 NBA games behind him between regular-season, playoffs and play-in. In his long overseas career he wore the jerseys of Golden State, where he won the ring in 2015, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Memphis, Indiana, Sacramento, Dallas and Denver.
He's averaged 8.0 points on 36.5% 3-point shooting, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists for his career.
"I am happy to join this team, this club and this city. I can't wait to start playing for the Virtus fans and win with them," said the NBA veteran, who's willing to work for symbolic compensation in hopes of securing a significant contract with the team.
