Virtus Segafredo Bologna are making changes in the management. Team majority owner Massimo Zanetti announced in an official press conference on Wednesday that CEO Luca Baraldi will not continue with the Italian squad.

This decision comes as part of a broader change within the organization, with a new board of directors expected to be announced in the coming days. On Tuesday, three board members close to Zanetti stepped down.

Marco Comellini will replace Baraldi as CEO, focusing solely on the financial and administrative sectors, while Paolo Ronci will continue overseeing the sporting side of the club.

Baraldi has served as the CEO of Virtus since 2019 and has an extensive background in sports management.

Before joining Virtus, he held management positions with several football clubs, including Parma, Lazio, Modena, Bologna, and Padova.

Virtus are currently 16th in the EuroLeague with a 7-16 record.
