Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv big man Jaylen Hoard will be sidelined for 2-4 weeks with a hamstring injury, the team officially announced.

Hoard experienced discomfort following Sunday's domestic game against Hapoel Beer Sheva, and an MRI later confirmed the injury.

While he could return by mid-February, the timing means he won't appear in another EuroLeague game until after the league's break for the FIBA window.

He will definitely miss EuroLeague games vs. ALBA, Barcelona, and Baskonia.

The 25-year-old has been one of the biggest surprises in the EuroLeague this season, averaging 15.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 18.1 PIR over 23 games in his rookie campaign.

His strong performances reportedly drew interest from Panathinaikos when Mathias Lessort suffered a fibula fracture.

Maccabi, meanwhile, continues to struggle, holding a 6-17 record and sitting 17th in the EuroLeague standings.
