Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly considering a trade for Jimmy Butler, but first need to deal with Pat Connaughton before packaging Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis in a deal with the Miami Heat.
The Milwaukee Bucks are a team to watch for Jimmy Butler, with insider Marc Stein suggesting that Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis could be on their way to the Miami Heat.

"I continue to hear whispered warnings: 'Don't forget about the Bucks.' Milwaukee, as you've surely noted, can't combine contracts in any offer for Butler until they first shed Pat Connaughton's contract or include him in a larger trade scenario," Stein reported on his Subdtack.
However, if the Bucks can find a new home for Pat Connaughton, packaging Middleton and Portis would allow them to present Miami with two players who could significantly enhance the Heat's playoff chances, especially during Butler's absence.
Butler is currently suspended by the Heat for the third time as he awaits a new team ahead of the February 6 trade deadline.

Meanwhile, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported that the Bucks have placed Middleton, Portis, and Connaughton -- three players from Milwaukee's 2021 championship roster --on the trade market.
The Bucks believe that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard require more support, as Middleton has struggled to regain his form after multiple offseason ankle surgeries and ongoing tendinitis issues.
