While the NBA world remains fixated on the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat as potential movers and shakers in the final weeks leading up to the trade deadline, the Toronto Raptors have quietly emerged as a team to keep a close eye on as February 6 approaches.

According to Marc Stein, the Raptors have surfaced as a potential suitor for Brandon Ingram. While it’s still unclear whether Toronto will make a serious push for the New Orleans Pelicans forward, but the mere suggestion of potential Raptors interest is the most significant development in weeks when it comes to the New Orleans forward

Additionally, the Raptors have reportedly positioned themselves as a potential facilitator in multi-team trade scenarios, particularly involving Miami and Jimmy Butler. This strategic approach highlights Toronto’s willingness to play a key role in shaping the league’s trade landscape.

At the core of the Raptors’ plans is their commitment to building around young All-Star forward Scottie Barnes. To further strengthen their roster, the team is exploring opportunities to leverage players with team-friendly contracts, such as Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, Chris Boucher, and Davion Mitchell, in potential trades. This approach underscores their focus on expanding their core while maintaining flexibility for future moves.
