Zaragoza's coach Porfirio Fisac commented on Jilson Bango rumors before their game against Maroussi in the FIBA Europe Cup.
Casademont Zaragoza center Jilson Bango has reportedly been one of the main targets for couple Euroleague teams in the last couple of weeks.
Before Zaragoza's game in the FIBA Europe Cup against Maroussi, coach Porfirio Fisac talked to the media about the rumors surrounding Bango. He said that the team is not interested in selling their center, also mentioned that the rumors been affecting recent Bango's performance.
"The team tells me they don’t want to sell Bango," coach said. "What bothers me is that, for one reason or another, I don’t have the same player I had two weeks ago. He’s a player who needs peace of mind."
"If people keep telling you how great you are all day, you might eventually believe it and let it go to your head," Fisac added.
Jilson Bango is averaging 13.9 points and 5.6 rebounds this year in Liga Endesa. He is still an option for Panathinaikos, as reports suggest that a big-money deal for Bango could still be in the works.
