Pablo Laso recently made a subtle joke about French official Mehdi Difallah, who will be the crew chief for the EuroLeague Round 22 game against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens on Friday night. However, rival coach Ergin Ataman chose not to engage with the comment.

"Laso is very experienced, much more experienced than other colleagues who comment on my statements. I expect respect from other coaches," Ataman said. "Everyone can have their own opinion, but I never speak about other coaches and what they say.

"I will never speak about what Laso says. This is his opinion," he added. "I respect him. He is one of the most experienced in the league, and he is also a very good friend of mine."

Laso made a comment about EuroLeague ref Difallah, noting his frequent officiating of Panathinaikos games.
