Baskonia completed a very important victory in Kaunas over Zalgiris as Chima Moneke was the team's top scorer with 17 points. After the game, Moneke gave a special shout-out to Shane Larkin, Elijah Bryant and Nigel Hayes-Davis.
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz are right back on track in the EuroLeague after beating Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania with a 70-83 score.
Chima Moneke was Baskonia's top scorer with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5/10 field goals and 19 PIR.
After the game, Moneke addressed a potential issue Baskonia has had since the season started and used a chance to shout out some of his colleagues from Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
"In a lot of games this season we go down by a lot and than fight to come back. Me personally, I never feel that the game is over, no matter what the score is as long as there is time on the board."
"Honestly, I want to give shout-out to Shane Larkin and Elijah Bryant. I was watching their Off the RECourt Podcast when Nigel Hayes-Davis was a guest."
"He was preaching self-confidence and belief. We have been losing, I've played good, but I want to play way better."
"I haven't shot that well recently I know I'm a better shooter. I believe in this team, we believe in each other. People outside don't believe in us but that's great, as long as we believe in each other we'll be good," Moneke concluded.
