The Miami Heat squad led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in the early 2010s was one of the most talented teams in league history.

That team went to the NBA Finals four straight times, winning two championships in the process.

Heat president Pat Riley, though, believes Miami could have won more titles if they were able to keep the team together.

“It didn’t hurt me, but it hurt me that we couldn’t keep that team together because I think it was a 5- or 6-championship team,” Riley said on The OGs Show hosted by former Heat players Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller.

“I really do. If we could have kept them all together and stayed healthy from that standpoint.”

James left the Heat in 2014 to move back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, whom he helped win a title in 2016.

The highlight of the Heat’s Big 3 run was highlighted by the 2012-13 season where Miami set a franchise record with 66 wins and beat the San Antonio Spurs for the title. The Heat had a 27-game winning streak in that season which is the second-longest in NBA history.
