Kamar Baldwin will not be following Baskonia to Greece for the game against Olympiacos, as he will be making his debut with Georgia in the EuroBasket qualifiers.
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and coach Pablo Laso will not be able to count on Kamar Baldwin for next Thursday's game in Piraeus against Olympiacos, according to El Correo.

The American point guard has already joined the Georgian national team ahead of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers. Georgia play Finland on Thursday and then again on Sunday in Tbilisi. The team coached by Aleksandar Dzikic is in Group G along with Serbia, Denmark and their next opponents. However, they remain winless after the first two games.
Hence, Baldwin will be playing with Georgia at just about the same time his club will be playing its EuroLeague Round 11 game in Greece. Of course, Baskonia have some compelling reasons to allow one of their players to leave for an international call-up.
Playing minutes, or seconds, with Georgia is an indispensable requirement, according to the regulations that prevail in Spanish basketball, for Kamar Baldwin to relinquish his foreign-player status and be regarded as an EU player. This development would enable Baskonia to use their entire roster in the ACB league.
Baldwin, 27, is in his rookie season in the top competition. He's averaging 5.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists over his team's first 10 games.
And if Baldwin and Baskonia have made their choice, the same rule doesn't apply to Tornike Shengelia, who wants to lead his national team amid a strenuous travel plan.
The captain of Georgia will be playing this Wednesday with Virtus Bologna in the EuroLeague clash against Fenerbahce. As soon as the game is over, Shengelia will catch a plane that will take him to Helsinki to join the Georgian team's training camp, so that he'll be able to suit up against Finland the following day.
