Good news for Boston Celtics fans as Kristaps Porzingis is taking the next step in his recovery process.

The team announced that they will assign Porzingis, along with Xavier Tillman, to their G-League affiliate, Maine Celtics, for practice.

“Following practice, they will be recalled and Porzingis will ramp up his workload,” the team added.

Porzingis has been dealing with a torn retinaculum and dislocated posterior tibialis tendon, which he suffered during the NBA Finals last season. He had to undergo surgery in the offseason to begin his recovery.

Last season, Porzingis averaged 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game for the Celtics.
