The Chicago Bulls announced on Thursday that they have waived Turkish forward Onuralp Bitim, making him a free agent for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Last season, Bitim averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 11.7 minutes across 23 regular-season games, including one start. He was sidelined for the postseason due to a detached retina in his right eye, which required season-ending surgery.

Bitim began his rookie NBA season on a two-way contract but earned a spot on the Bulls' standard roster in February.

His standout moment came on March 12 against the Dallas Mavericks, where he scored a career-high 17 points, despite the team's loss.

Before joining the NBA in the summer of 2023, Bitim played two seasons with Bursaspor.
