Shortly after, Fenerbahce officially announced that this decision was made in accordance with recommendations from the Turkish and Israeli governments, as well as in response to security measures implemented by the authorities.

It's also important to note that neither Fenerbahce nor Maccabi made the decision. As it was mentioned, the decision to host the game in Lithuania was made with recommendations from the Turkish and Israeli governments.

A similar situation occurred last season, with Fenerbahce hosting Maccabi in Panevezys, another Lithuanian city.

The game in Kaunas is set to tip off at 19:30 CET.

Following this matchup, Fenerbahce will return to Kaunas in November for an away game against Zalgiris, scheduled for November 15.
