According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Rose has been waived by his current team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
Last year, the soon-to-be-36-year-old guard averaged 8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in 24 contests for the Grizzlies.
Rose is best known for his early career when he became the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2009 and the youngest league MVP in 2011 for the Chicago Bulls. However, a devastating ACL injury tarnished his career.
He missed the entire 2012-13 season and didn't manage to get back to his previous form despite valiant efforts. Rose has since switched teams three times in the last six years.
