Serbia won the bronze medal at the recently concluded Paris 2024 Olympics, but the highlight of their campaign was arguably the semifinal showdown with Team USA, where they nearly pulled off an upset against the star-studded American squad.

Serbia led by as many as 17 points in that game, pushing Team USA to the brink. One of the most intense moments came when LeBron James made the "too small" gesture at Bogdan Bogdanovic.

The two later got into a heated exchange, with Serbia's captain visibly upset, mouthing curses in response. However, when the game ended, Bogdanovic let it go, admitting that he couldn't even remember what sparked the argument.

"To be honest, I'm not really sure. We had an argument there. We fought, each of us standing up for our own side. It was intense, and there were swear words exchanged. But that remains on the court," Bogdanovic said in an interview with RTS, as the Serbian national team was welcomed home by their fans.

Around 40,000 people gathered in front of the Old Palace (Stari Dvor) in Belgrade to celebrate Bogdanovic, his team, and other Serbian Olympic medalists.

"We've all been pleasantly surprised by the support we've received. As Nole [Novak Djokovic] mentioned, we've experienced something similar before, but being part of an Olympic team feels different. It's truly phenomenal, and we can't stop getting chills," he added.
