Team USA and Serbia will face off for the third time this year and the fourth time ever on the Olympic stage, with a place in the Paris 2024 gold medal game on the line. The semifinal clash will tip off at 21:00 CEST/15:00 ET at Bercy Arena.
The two teams have already met twice leading up to this highly anticipated semifinal. Their first encounter was during a pre-Olympic exhibition in the USA Basketball Showcase, where the U.S. dominated Serbia with a 105-79 victory.
Their second meeting took place on July 28, marking the start of the Paris group phase in Group C. Once again, the Americans came out on top, securing a 110-84 win.
In that game, Kevin Durant made his 2024 debut for the U.S. men's national team, scoring 21 points in the first half alone, finishing with 23 points. Nikola Jokic led Serbia with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Since 2016, Team USA has maintained a perfect 3-0 record against Serbia in Olympic matchups.
Serbia enters this semifinal following a dramatic 95-90 quarterfinal win over Australia, where they overcame a 24-point deficit to claim victory in overtime. Team USA, on the other hand, is coming off a dominant 122-87 win over Brazil.
The USA-Serbia semifinal will be broadcast on RTS in Serbia and NBC in the USA, and streaming will be available on Peacock.
