Minnesota Timberwolves and Team USA star Anthony Edwards compared the 2024 Paris Olympics to the FIBA Basketball World Cup, admitting that the Summer Games are a lot more fun because he gets to see the USA Table Tennis team as well.
Team USA and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is fully enjoying his experience in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
As Team USA cruised past Group C with a perfect 3-0 record, Edwards even found the time to explore Paris nightlife as the song "Freed from Desire" by Gala was a new experience for Edwards.
"My brother put me on to that [song] two nights ago," Edwards told Marc J. Spears from Andscape after a 104-83 win against Puerto Rico. "We were in the club. He put me on to that song. I like it."
When asked to choose between the Olympics and FIBA Basketball World Cup, in which he played last year, Edwards didn't hesitate.
"Of course, it's [the Olympics] a lot more fun," Edwards revealed. "I'm playing with the greatest players of all-time. The experience is a lot better because I am able to go see ping pong or table tennis."
However, the whole experience is about to get even more serious as Team USA prepares for the quarterfinal game against Brazil. The tip-off is scheduled for Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
