On the third day of the Olympic Basketball Tournament in Lille, Group B features a matchup between reigning FIBA World Cup champions Germany and South American powerhouse Brazil. The game tips off at 21:00 CEST.
Germany began their Paris 2024 Olympics campaign with a strong 97-77 victory over Japan. Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner led the charge with a game-high 22 points, while Dennis Schroder added 13 points and 12 assists.
Brazil, on the other hand, entered the Olympics after winning the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) in Riga, Latvia.
However, they faced a tough opening game in Lille against the host nation, France, and lost 66-78. Brazil's standout player, Bruno Caboclo, was held scoreless in that game, struggling against France's NBA stars Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert.
