Gran Canaria's island capital, Las Palmas, will host Copa del Rey Baloncesto 2025 from February 13 to 16.
Spanish ACB League has announced that Copa del Rey will return to Gran Canaria island in 2025.
The tournament will take place from February 13 to 16.
This will be the 4th time Las Palmas will host the Copa del Rey tournament. The tournament took place in Gran Canaria in 1990, 2015, and 2018.
Dreamland Gran Canaria finished the regular ACB season in 7th place and was eliminated by Real Madrid in the playoffs.
In 1987, Copa del Rey was expanded to the Final Eight format. Since the ACB league is played with a single round-robin group, the top seven teams from the Spanish League and one host at the end of the first half of the regular season qualify for the tournament if they are not between these teams.
The eight teams play a knockout tournament at one venue over four days, eventually producing a winner.
