The Knicks officially announced that Brunson had a successful surgery on his left hand. The player will be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks.
Brunson broke his left hand after colliding with Tyrese Haliburton's knee while trying to stop the Pacers' fast break. The Knicks guard was forced to leave Game 7 early in the middle of the third quarter.
The Knicks went on to lose the Game 7 following a myriad of injuries on the roster, with OG Anunoby also leaving Game 7 early despite battling to get ready for the game after missing multiple contests in the series.
Brunson averaged a whopping 32.4 points in the playoffs, alongside 3.3 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game.
