Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens were on a roll coming into the game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. However, the Israeli team marched to a comfortable victory, fueled by tremendous performances from the star guard duo of Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin IV.

Contrary to Panathinaikos, Maccabi's recent performances weren't particularly inspiring. Coming into the matchup, they had lost three games in a row - one in the EuroLeague last week and two in the Israeli Winner League, with one of the two being a derby against Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv.

Nevertheless, a strong 11-1 run in the second quarter paved the way for the eventual victory.

"I guess I can say we've been lacking in the second halves [starting] from the Partizan game," Lorenzo Brown told BasketNews. "Coming out tonight, it was the focus of this team. The second half was a big half for us - we wanted to keep calm, and not rush everything, and just not panic. Panicking was our downfall during the last games that we played."

Brown didn't play for the Spanish national team last summer. This week, a report came out stating the veteran guard had committed to play for the country. However, things are not that straightforward.

The star player is willing to play for Spain, but it all depends on one condition.

"That's another thing I was talking about with the coach," Brown told BasketNews. "It's all depending on
